Go for Gold-CSB tops Che'Lu for back-to-back wins

The Go for Gold-CSB Scratchers topped the Che'Lu Bar and Grill Revellers, 101-92, on Monday to tally its second-straight win in the 2019 PBA D-League at the JCSGO Gym in Cubao, Quezon City.
Go for Gold-CSB banked on an early 13-3 fourth period run to turn its end-of-third-quarter 64-63 lead into a a 77-66 advantage at the 7:23 mark of the fourth quarter and took control of the match from there.
Justin Gutang started the Scratchers' decisive run with a free throw off a technical foul on Chris Dumapig as he did not report to the table officals that he is entering the game anew.
Kendrix Belgica then followed with an inside incursion as Gutang scored on a layup before Belgica converted on a hook shot and Rossevelt Adams on a driving layup for a 73-63 Go for Gold-CSB cushion with 8:29 remaining.
Jeff Viernes stopped the bleeding for Che'Lu by drilling a triple as Gutang responded with an alley oop completion before Adams capped the Scratchers back-breaking rally with a turnaround jumpshot.
Adams puched in a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds to lead the way for Go for Gold-CSB. Gutang backstopped him as the high-flying winger finished with 20 points, four assists, and two steals. Clement Lieutchu turned in 15 points and nine caroms in the win.
Jerald Bautista paced Che'Lu with 26 points and two assists while Jessie Collado provided the suport by tallying 17 markers and two rebounds. Jay-R Taganas scored four points only but he atoned for that with 20 huge rebounds.
The Scratchers improved to a 3-3 win-loss card as the Revellers dropped to a 3-2 record.
Go for Gold-CSB will try to extend its winning run to three games when it takes on the Petron-Letran Knights on May 2 at the Ynares Sports Arena. On the other hand, Che'Lu will try to bounce back when it faces the AMA Online Education Titans on April 29 at the JCSGO Gym here.
