Blackwater taps Aris Dimaunahan as interim coach following Bong Ramos resignation

by Niel Victor Masoy, April 03, 2019 6:02pm

Blackwater tapped Aris Dimaunahan as its interim coach for the 2019 PBA Commissioner's Cup according to multiple reports on Wednesday, April 3.

This, after Bong Ramos resigned as the team's head tactician following a dismal showing of the Elite in the Philippine Cup.

Blackwater finished with a 2-9 win-loss card in the All-Filipino tournament - quite a fall for the team that went to the playoffs in the 2018 Governors' Cup.

Reports further stated that Ramos is set to meet with team owner Siliman Sy on Thursday to formally turn over the head coaching chores to Dimaunahan, who has been working for the Elite as an assistant coach since the time of Leo Isaac as the team's head coach.

Dimaunahan - a former PBA player - will start facilitating the Blackwater's practices next week.
