Ginebra San Miguel players and coaches joined their mother company, the San Miguel Corporation in their drive to aid the frontliners in the country's fight against the corona virus disease (COVID-19).
Hoping to channel their 'Never Say Die' spirit to the rest of the frontliners who have been risking their lives in battling against the disease, team's coaches led by head coach Tim Cone and players bannered by Gin Kings stars LA Tenorio and Japeth Aguilar all went to the SMC headquarters in Ortigas on Wednesday to repack personal protective equipments.
These PPEs are set to be donated by SMC to all medical health workers in at least 16 health centers nationwide as part of the company's continous efforts to help in the middle of health crisis.
"Sama-sama laban sa COVID-19. Walang iwanan. Never say die," wrote Tenorio on his Instagram account.
Joining Tenorio and Aguilar were teammates Mark Caguioa, Joe Devance, Aljon Mariano, Jeff Chan, Scottie Thompson and Stanley Pringle. SMC sports director and Ginebra team governor Al Francis Chua was also present.
So far, the conglomerate headed by owner and COO Ramon S Ang have already donated at least a billion worth of food products, ethyl alcohol, fuel, and PPEs to help the frontliners and citizens severely affected by the lockdown.
