Jio Jalalon, PBA stars lend hand to those in need, frontliners amid lockdown

Magnolia Hotshots star Jio Jalalon has joined the cause in helping the less fortunate Filipinos and frontliners amid the Luzon-wide lockdown due to the Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) Pandemic.

The 5'9" guard traversed to the cities of San Juan, Manila and Caloocan during the lockdown and distributed packed foods and groceries to the residents, security guards and other frontliners on their way.

Jalalon posted a couple of photos on his Instagram account together with his friends and the people who were able to receive the goods.

"Yung meryenda, dito lang sa San Juan to Aurora, tapos Timog in Quezon City. Yung mga goods naman, Kalookan to Recto papunta ng Espana. Umikot kami," Jalalon told the league website.

"Binigyan lang natin yung mga tunay na bayani natin," the fourth year guard added.

Aside from Jalalon, couple of stars have also made their move to help ease the burden for the Filipinos in the midst of the crisis.

Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters forward Calvin Abueva also distributed food packs to tricycle drivers and jeepney drivers who weren't able to work following the suspension of public utility vehicles due to the lockdown.

San Miguel Beer guard Terrence Romeo meanwhile have aided some of out hospitals by providing personal protective equipments.

Blackwater Elite guard Diego Dario, NLEX Road Warriors guard Kevin Alas,a nd the championship team of the Letran Knights led by Ginebra San Miguel Jerrick Balanza all made their effort to raise funds to support the frontliners.
