ERRATUM: Courtside Philippines initially identified Kevin Alas' Gilas jersey as the one he wore in the 2013 Southeast Asian Games basketball tourney. This was an errror. After looking at it, that jersey turned out to be the one from the Gilas' 'The Last Home Stand' event in 2014.

NLEX Road Warriors guard Kevin Alas has now joined the fray of athletes against the Corona Virus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

Alas, through his alma mater Colegio de San Juan de Letran, made his signed Gilas Pilipinas jersey and pair of Kobe shoes available for auction on Friday.

The proceeds of the auction will be donated to the health workers, who serve as frontliners in the country's war against COVID-19.

The Gilas jersey was from the 'The Last Home Stand' event held at Araneta Coliseum in 2014.

On the other hand, the pair of shoes is the rare edition of Kobe 8 'What the Kobe' which he wore in the Southeast Asian Games basketball tourney in 2013 - the first time he represented the Philippines in an international competition.

The bidding price for the Gilas jersey starts at P1,000, while the base amount for the shoes - which is size 12 - is at P3,000.

Interested parties can place their bids by commenting the amount of money on the photos of the items posted by Letran on its Facebook page.

The auction will end later today at 10:00 p.m.
