With his stellar play in the recently concluded University Athletic Association of the Philippines season 82 High School Boys basketball tourney, Kevin Quiambao earned himself a Mythical Team selection.

The 6-foot-7 center of the Nazareth School of National University put up norms of 12.6 points, 9.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.4 blocks, helping lead the Bullpups to their second straight title sans a loss (16-0) in season 82.

"Lahat naman yun (Mythical Selection), dukot lang sa takbo ng team namin eh. Kung baga ‘di ko pinilit na mag mythical ako, kung baga kung ano yung sitwasyon na nasa harap ko, finace ko lang siya," said Quiambao.

"Hindi ko naman inisip na kung mag mi-Mythical ako, i-credit ko lang sa sarili ko, kini-credit ko yun sa buong team kasi nakita ko kung pano sila mag create para sa akin."

Quiambao's performance this season, however, did not just allow him to get a spot in the UAAP's Mythical Team.

The graduating player also rose as the no. 1 player in the final UAAP National Basketball Training Center 24 high school player rankings.

Adamson University's Jake Figueroa - the UAAP's season 82 MVP - ranked as second, while also Mythical Team member placed as third.

Ateneo High School's Josh Lazaro notched the fourth spot as Far Eastern University Diliman's Penny Estacio grabbed the fifth place.

University of Santo Tomas' Bismarck Lina finished as sixth, while Ateneo's LeBron Lopez clinched the seventh spot.

Rounding out the top 10 are FEU's Chiolo Anonuevo, NU's Terrence Fortea, and Ateneo's Forthsky Padrigao.
