Business as usual for Poy Erram amid his pending move to TNT

by Reynald Magallon, February 19, 2020 5:00pm

As long as there's no official move yet, expect Poy Erram to proudly wear his NLEX uniform.

That, after Erram still showed up in the NLEX Road Warriors' tune up game against the Alaska Aces on Wednesday despite the trade talks that would send him eventually to the TNT Katropa.

Under the trade, NLEX will get Anthony Semerad and several picks, Blackwater which served as the conduit team will get Marion Magat and Ed Daquioag while TNT will acquire Erram and another pick.

The supposed trade however was reportedly vetoed but the three teams involved were now revising the trade to get the approval from the Commissioner's office.

With the trade stalled, Erram said ge will remain a Road Warrior, and will continue to join the team in their practices and tune up.

"Ako alam ko saang team pa rin ako, NLEX pa rin ako. Yun pa rin naman yung team na gusto ko, yun yung gusto ni coach Yeng so sa ngayon NLEX pa rin," said Erram who was in unifrom during the tune up game but wasn't fielded by Guiao.

"Wala pa namang lumalabas na kahit ano so hangga't wala pang lumalabas ganun pa rin ako pupunta ng umaga shooting ganunpa rin yung daily routine ko. Syempre ayoko naman na magtatanga tangahan na maghihintay hintay rin mawawala rin ako sa kundisyon kasi if ever na hindi matuloy tuloy ako sa NLEX walang problema," furthered Erram who also joined the Road Warriors in the team's practice prior to the tune up game.

Erram also denied the rumors that there had been a feud between him and Guiao and that was the reason for the trade.

"Di totoo yun, okay kami ni coach yeng, nagkwentuhan pa nga kami kaninang umaga eh, masaya kaming dalawa. Wala kaming alitan never kami magkakaroon ng ganun," Erram explained.

The vastly improved center also insisted that he's taking everything professionally the same thing how NLEX and his teammates are taking it.

"Propesyunal naman tayo eh part naman ng basketball yun eh malungkot pero yun yung reality wala tayong magagawa kung ano yung desisyon ng nasa taas natin susundin natin, " said the 6'8" big man.

"Masaya yan sila sa akin na di ako aalis ng team kasi alam nila pag umalis ako mapapagod sila eh, pag nandyan ako di sila napapagod eh kaya masaya sila," said smiling Erram.

"Normal lang kami sa practice kasi alam namin may chance kami this year."
