NLEX blasts Alaska to remain spotless in pocket tourney as Erram sits out

The NLEX Road Warriors blasted the Alaska Aces, 108-90 in their tune up game to remain spotless in their four-team pocket tournament on Wednesday at the Upper Deck Gym.
Raul Soyud unloaded 22 points for the Road Warriors who have Larry Fonacier, Asi Taulava and JR Quinahan sitting out the game. Kiefer Ravena also played with little minutes while Poy Erram was in uniform but didn't play for NLEX.
Erram had been part of the headlines following a reported trade that will send him to the TNT Katropa in a complex three team trade with Blackwater being the conduit team to make the trade possible for the sister teams.
Aside from Soyud,Kevin Alas was back in his usual form finishing with 18 point while Bong Galanza and rookie Will McAloney added 11 and 10 points respectively.
The Road Warriors came out guns ablazing as they erected a 20-9 lead late in the opening frame with Soyud throwing his weight around the rim for NLEX.
NLEX even widened the gap in the second frame where they lead by as much as 17 points, 47-30, after a Mike Miranda layup with 2:38 left in the first half.
Alaska however showed some life in the third frame with Vic Manuel who finished with 28 points carried much of the load for the Aces to pull them within five, 56-51, midway through the third quarter.
NLEx however embarked to another furious run that gave them the comfortable separation, 76-64 , heading into the final frame. After numerous attempts from the Aces though, the Road Warriors remained composed and fended off every Alaska run to take the game.
Mike Digregorio provided support for Manuel with 15 points while Abu Tratter added 11 markers.
