Caloocan gifted its home fans a winning goodbye in its Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Lakan Cup campaign, scoring a 93-90 win over fellow-eliminated team Mindoro on Wednesday night at the Caloocan Sports Complex.

With the victory, the Supremos finished its season with 15 wins against 15 losses.

Carlo Escalambre led the way for Caloocan, dropping 35 points, five assists, four rebounds, and two steals.

Cedric Labing-isa came through with 21 points, nine assists, seven rebounds, and four steals to backstop him.

Ex-Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) player Paul Sanga also came to play, pouring in 15 points, 16 rebounds, and seven assists in the win.

Wanting to end its season with a win with its home crowd rallying behind, Caloocan went on to lead Mindoro by 13 points, 80-67 following a Danny Marilao layup at the 6:17 left mark of the fourth quarter

However, the also fighting for pride Tamaraws stormed back with a blistering 23-11 run punctuated by a Mac Baracael three-point bomb to get within a point, 90-91, with 11.7 ticks left.

Labing-isa gave the Supremos more breathing room as he drew a foul and buried a pair of free throws for a 93-90 lead at the 2.1-second mark.

Due to Caloocan's full court pressure, Mindoro couldn't even put up a last-gasp shot on the other end as the game clock expired and the home team held on for the triumph.

Ex-pro Baracael carried the fight for the Tamaraws with 29 points, 15 rebounds, and five assists.

Richard Abanes cashed in 17 points, five rebounds, four assists, and four steals, while Rodel Vaygan produced 16 points, seven boards, three assists, and three steals.

Mindoro fell to a 9-21 slate.
