Another US NCAA Division 1 school has reportedly expressed interest to tap the services of Filipino teen sensation Kai Sotto.
Verbal Commits - a US-based source when it comes to college basketball player recruitments and movements - announced on Monday through Twitter that Sotto received an offer from the University of Georgia Bulldogs.
Georgia has produced some active NBA talents like Kentavious Caldwell-Pope of the Los Angeles Lakers and Nix Claxton of the Brooklyn Nets.
Former NBA superstar Dominique Wilkins also came from the Bulldogs.
Before receiving an offer from Georgia, NCAA Division 1 schools like the University of Kentucky, Auburn University, DePaul University, and Georgia Institute of Technology (more popularly known as Georgia Tech) have also expressed their interests to recruit the 7-foot-2 Sotto.
This, in the midst of Sotto's stellar play for The Skills Factory (TSF).
Recently, Sotto led his TSF team to the championship in the King Invitational tournament in Atlanta.
The Batang Gilas star bagged the MVP award of the said tourney with averages of 27.0 points, 10.6 rebounds, 4.3 blocks, and 3.0 assists.
The UAAP season 81 Juniors MVP also moved up from the 76th to the 68th best high school baller in the US in the latest ESPN'S top 100 high school players of class 2020.
ESPN also ranked Sotto as the 11th best center of his batch and classified the former Ateneo Blue Eaglet as a four-star recruit.
