FEU Diliman rolls to 10th straight win, seals twice-to-beat incentive in Semis with rout of UPIS

Far Eastern University (FEU) Diliman clinched its 10th straight win and the last twice-to-beat incentive in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) season 82 High School Boys basketball tournament Final Four.
This, after the Baby Tamaraws gored the University of the Philippines Integrated School (UPIS) Junior Maroons, 115-66, on Sunday at the FilOil Flying V Centre.
With the victory, FEU improved to a 10-1 slate, and is locked in to finish as the second seed team in the eliminations behind the still undefeated Nazareth School of National University Bullpups, who carry an 11-0 record.
Anfernee Estacio led the Baby Tamaraws with 17 points, five assists, and three rebounds, while Aeron Bagunu produced 16 points, six rebounds, and two assists.
Patrick Sleat and Jorick Bautista poured in an identical stat line of 12 markers, six caroms, and two dimes.
FEU jumped on UPIS with a 12-0 start en route to a 31-9 first quarter assault capped by a Sleat deuce to set the tone for its domination of the latter for the rest of the way.
The Baby Tamaraws led the Junior Maroons by 32 points, 61-29, at the half; by 47 points, 96-43 at the end of the third period, and by 49 points - the final score - after the ball game.
FEU dominated the inside scoring department, 70-20; the fastbreak points, 27-6; the rebounding, 62-54.
The Junior Tamaraws also forced the Junior Maroons to commit 29 turnovers and scored 38 off of it.
Ray Torres pumped in 22 markers, 12 caroms, and three assists to lead UPIS as Jose Gomez de Liaño put up 13 points and two caroms.
Sean Torculas punched in eight points, 13 rebounds, and three assists, while Aiman Avinado contributed nine points and three rebounds.
The already-eliminated Junior Maroons have yet to win through 11 games - 0-11 - the worst record in the eight-team league.
