Ginebra San Miguel veteran and face of the franchise Mark Caguioa is set to return for one more season in the PBA.

Caguioa announced that he'll be having his one last dance before hanging his sneakers for good, on Monday during the team's victory party with the fans at the Metrotent at Metrowalk in Ortigas.

At one part of program, since the Gin Kings are looking to end a 13-year title drought in the Philippine Cup next season, Caguioa was asked whether he will still be part of the team.

The charismatic Ginebra guard then asked the fans if they still want him to play for one more year. As the crowd responded in affirmative, Caguioa bared that he had a talk with team manager Al Francis Chua to play one more year.

"Coach Al pulled me aside and sinabi niya na he (Chua) is going to give me one more year. I want to thank coach Al for giving me one more year,” said Caguioa.

Caguioa who was drafted third over all in the 2001 draft played all of his 19 years in the league with the Gin Kings. That stint enabled him to win eight championships and one MVP award in . Caguioa also became the face and the heart of the franchise after receiving the torch from retired Ginebra legend Robert Jaworski.

The 40-year old veteran then lauded his teammates for another great championship run.

"These guys, hindi niyo nakikita kung anong nangyayari. These guys work so hard. Like LA, magwoworkout pa yan even though naglaro na siya ng 40, 50 minutes. Then, you see Japeth working out and I have to tell the guys na stop working hard so hard baka ma-injure kayo. But they’re doing it the whole conference with Justin shooting around after practice," the Spark shared.

The Gin Kings are looking to give Caguioa a farewell season to remember as they vie for the Philippine Cup and perhaps the Commissioners' Cup and Governors' Cup as well to get Ginebra's first grandslam
