Tenorio still open for another Gilas call-up: ‘kung kailangan pa yung serbisyo natin, why not?’

LA Tenorio has been playing for the Philippine national basketball team for a long time now.
And even at the age of 34, the 5-foot-9 Barangay Ginebra San Miguel point guard is still open for another Gilas Pilipinas call-up.
“Hindi naman natin alam kung anong future natin eh pero it depends on the program kung kailangan pa yung serbisyo natin, why not?,” said Tenorio.
Of course, Tenorio, together with the Gilas Pilipinas, gave the Philippines its 13th straight and 18th overall gold medal in the Southeast Asian Games Men’s basketball tourney after a dominating run in the 30th edition of the biennial meet that culminated in a 115-81 Finals over Thailand last Tuesday, December 10 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Tenorio - the Philippine Basketball Association player with the most consecutive games played - said as long as he’s body can hold up, he’s still open for another go with Gilas.
“Oo naman. Hangga’t kayo kong maglaro ng basketball syempre iba pa rin yung nagri-represent ng bansa.”
