Clint Doliguez glad to realize dream of playing in San Beda - Letran Finals

San Beda University guard Clint Doliguez ended his collegiate career with a defeat to Colegio de San Juan de Letran in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) season 95 Men’s basketball tournament Finals.
And while the defeat surely hurt Doliguez, the six-foot guard can take solace to the fact that he realized his dream of playing in the classic San Beda - Letran rivalry championship series.
“Actually, pinangarap ko ‘tong rivalry na ‘to. Hindi ko lang inexpect na matatalo kami. Sobrang saya lang, sobrang nakaka overwhelm,” said the graduating Doliguez.
“Lalo na yung mga fans, yung sa San Beda community, pag support sa San Beda lalo na ‘pag Letran yung kalaban. Natapos yung season na at least kahit papaano natupad yung isa sa mga gusto kong manyari.
“Though hindi siya natapos as a champion pero ganun talaga, may panalo’t talaga. Sa ngayon lang talo lang kami.”
Doliguez also considered it a silver lining that he became part of the winning program of the Red Lions, who won three of the last four titles in the NCAA, and have 22 championships overall which are the most in the oldest collegiate league in the country.
“Sobrang saya na kahit paano yung San Beda yung napuntahan. Sobrang thankful and sa lahat ng tumulong, sa mga Red Lions, as a team,” said the three-time champion Doliguez.
