University of Santo Tomas’ Finals loss to Ateneo de Manila University on Wednesday also meant the end of Renzo Subido’s career in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Men’s basketball tournament.

With that, Subido is now set to embark on a new journey - and that is by playing in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) Lakan season by way of the San Juan Knights.

“Right now, November 28, I'm gonna play for San Juan Knights in the MPBL. Siguro I'm gonna take a two to three day off then start practicing with them,” said Subido following UST’s 81-79 season 82 Finals Game Two defeat to Ateneo Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Actually, the 5-foot-8 Subido will make his MPBL debut on November 29 as San Juan doesn’t have a game on the 28th based on the league’s schedule at

The Knights, though, will play on November 29 as they face the Manila Stars at the El Salvador City Gymnasium.
