Pringle to the rescue as Ginebra survives late TNT comeback to clinch Quarters spot

Stanley Pringle played the hero role in the end game as he rescued Ginebra San Miguel from a huge collapse to beat the TNT Katropa, 96-93, the 2019 Governors' Cup at the Araneta Coliseum on Friday and clinch a spot to the Quarterfinals
Pringle nailed the go ahead basket, driving his way to the hole against the outstretched arms of TNT import KJ Mcdaniels to put the Kings ahead for good, 94-92 with 15.6 left. McDaniels was then fouled in the next possession but he split his charities. Brownlee then nailed two more free throws that basically sealed the game for the Kings.
Pringle finished with just 14 points but unloaded 10 markers in a blistering third quarter run for the Kings that created a 74-68 separation at the end of the third frame. Japeth Aguilar led the Kings with 29 markers and 10 rebounds while Justin Brownlee and LA Tenorio added 24 and 19 points respectively.
TNT, who led at the half, 44-38, tried to reclaim the lead in the final frame. The Kings lead were cut down to seven, 86-79, following a long bomb from Ray Parks. Art Dela Cruz though replied with a floater to extend the lead back to nine with more than seven minutes in change.
KJ Mcdaniels then nailed a trey but Justin Brownlee got the deuce back with a floater for a 90-82 lead. An LA Tenorio charities spread the lead back to double digits but Parks scored on a layup before nailing a long bomb to come within five, 92-87 with 2:15 left, sparking a 10-0 rally for the Katropa.
Samboy De Leon then got a steal before scoring on a breakaway. They then forced Tenorio to a tough shot leaving TNT 37 seconds to inch closer. RR Pogoy then nailed a left corner triple to tie the game 92-all with 31 seconds left, setting up the table to Pringle heroics.
Mcdaniels paced TNT with 32 points while RR Pogoy added 23 markers. Parks had a solid debut in blue-and yellow uniform finishing with 17 points.
