The San Miguel Beermen will be tapping the services of an NBA veteran John Holland as their import in lieu of Dez Wells, head coach Leo Austria confirmed the development to Courtside Philippines on Thursday.

Holland, who last played in the NBA for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA, will be the Beermen's second import in the third conference to boost their grandslam bid. He was undrafted in the 2011 NBA draft before playing professionally in France, Spain and Turkey. He also suited up for the Boston Celtics and played for Canton Charge and Austin Spurs in the NBA G-League.

The 6'5" forward will be taking the spot of Wells who went down with an ankle injury and hasn't played for the Beermen since SMB's loss to Meralco. The Beermen played all-Filipino in their 99-96 overtime victory over the Blackwater Elite last Wednesday.

Austria also bared that their import will be arriving tomorrow and will likely play against the Rain or Shine Elastopainters in the PBA on tour on Saturday.
