Arellano University’s (AU) Kent Salado and University of Perpetual Help System DALTA’s (UPSHD) Edgar Charcos bared their plans of applying in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Rookie Draft.

This, after their respective National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) stints came to an end on Friday.

“Magpapa-draft ako. Sana palarin,” said the Chiefs top gun Salado.

The 5-foot-9 combo guard put up 16.2 points, 5.7 assists, and 5.1 rebounds this season 95 Men’s basketball tournament.

Despite such a stat line, however, Arellano just finished with a 4-14 win-loss card which is dead last in the team standings.

“Mag-aapply ako sa draft," remarked Charcos.

"Kung hindi ako makuha, sa MPBL (Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League) ako," the 5-foot-8 guard added.

Just like Salado, Charcos put up the numbers in his final playing year in the NCAA, turning in 12.5 points, 4.8 assists, and 4.3 boards.

It also didn’t translate to more wins for the Altas, though, as the Las Pinas-based squad came up with just a 5-13 slate, good for the eight spot in the standings.
