Suspended Phoenix Fuel Masters forward Calvin Abueva tried to make amends by issuing a public apology addressed to the league and all the people involve in his past controversies via his instagram @abuevacalvin the beast.
Abueva was put on an indefinite suspension after a series of controversies involving the embattled forward. He had a word war with Blackwater rookie Ray Parks Jr and his girlfriend Micah Rivera after Abueva allegedly made lewd gestures towards Rivera during the Blackwater-Phoenix elimination game in the Commissioner's Cup.
The next game, Abueva made headlines for all the bad reasons as he clotheslined TNT import Terrence Jones in the Phoenix-TNT elimination game. That proved to be the last thread for Abueva as the PBA handed him the suspension and hasn't returned until now.
Abueva was also put in another controversy as he was caught playing in ligang labas without tvhe consent from his mother club. The Games and Amusement Boards was closely monitoring the Abueva situation and even threathened to revoke Abueva's license.
Earlier this month, Abueva got the permission to join Phoenix practice by PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial.
