RR Garcia nailed the go ahead basket with a second remaining to help his Phoenix Fuel Masters arrest their two-game losing skid at the Rain or Shine Elastopainters' expense, 86-84 in the 2019 Governors Cup at the Cuneta Astrodome on Wednesday.

The Fuel Masters were still ahead by four, 84-80 following a Jason Perkins inside incusion  with 4:56 to go. Both teams came up dry on their next offensives before Gabe Norwood broke the silence with a layup to inch the Epainters within two, 84-82 with 2:54 remaining.

Both teams then clamped down on the defensive end to force each other to consecutive misses in the final two minutes of regulation. Javee Mocon ended the drought with a jumper to tie the game 84-all with seven ticks left in the game. That set the table for Garcia's heroics drilling a floater off a nice feed from Eugene Phelps to to put Phoenix back on top 86-84.

Phelps led the attack fornthe Fuel Masters with 19 points and 20 boards while RJ Jazul and Garcia contributed 15 and 16 points respectively.

Kayel Locke put up his best peformance so far for the E-Painters with 29 points and 10 boards but still not enough for ROS who absrobed their third straight defeat.
