Pasay looks to bounce back at home against QC as Pampanga, Iloilo clash

The Pasay Voyagers are looking to bounce back from a one-point loss in their last game as they host the Quezon City Capitals tonight in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Lakan Cup at the Cuneta Astrodome.
The Voyagers are coming off a 71-72 setback against the Bataan Risers on September 25, when Axel Iñigo, Elmar Moradas, Dhon Reverente, and Jaypee Belencion all scored in double figures. That, however, is still not enough as the Risers put a stop to Pasay’s seven-game winning run that started with an 83-78 victory over the Bacoor City Strikers on August 1.
Standing on the way of the 10-6 Pasay squad are the Capitals, who carry a 6-9 slate. QC is trying to arrest a two-game slide and is looking to bounce back from a lopsided loss at the hands of the Batangas City Tanduay Athletics, 80-105, on September 23.
Aaron Black top-scored for the Capitals in that game with 28 points while Mon Mabayo, Jomar Santos, and Dahrrel Caranguian all scored 11 markers. The Capitals, however, just couldn’t stop the Athletics’ offensive juggernaut.
The Pasay-QC collision is set to cap the night after the fight between the 6-9 Mindoro Tamaraws and the 3-10 Navotas Uni-Pak Sardines at 4 pm. The Pampanga Giant Lanterns (10-5), meanwhile, will test the Iloilo United Royals (8-6) at 6:30 pm.
