For the second year in a row, the All-Star team captained by LeBron James won the main offering in the NBA All-Star weekend.
Team LeBron outscored Team Giannis 96-69 in the second half to erase a 20-point deficit and take a 178-164 victory on Monday (Manila time).
The team rode on the offensive efforts of Kevin Durant who knocked in 31 points to take the MVP award after the game.
The 2019 All-Star game is also the last mid-season event appearance for both Dwayne Wade and Dirk Nowitzki. Wade has announced that the ongoing season will be his last in the NBA. A couple of weeks back, Nowitzki also announced that he will not be suiting up next season.
Prior to main showpiece, Kyle Kuzma of the Los Angeles Lakers scored 35 points to lead Team USA to a 161-144 victory over Team World. Kuzma was named MVP after the game.
Jason Tatum, meanwhile, bagged the Skills Challenge trophy while Joe Harris of the Brooklyn Nets defeated the likes of Steph Curry, Seth Curry, and Danny Green to take home the NBA Three Point Contest. Hamidou Diallo was crowned Slam Dunk king after the dunk fest.
