Kevin Love organizing Cavs' pre-camp workout next week—report

Cleveland Cavaliers main man Kevin Love is organizing a pre-camp workout for his team in New York next week ahead of the training camp for the 2019-2020 National Basketball Association season that will kick off in October, Cleveland.com reported.
According to the report, Love is holding the said workout for his team for the second-straight year, after LeBron James left the squad. It was James who started the tradition, and Love is continuing it as a way to “gather the many new faces for a series of on-court workouts and plenty of team bonding ahead of training camp.”
The training camp will officially open on September 30.
Love has not been present at the Cavaliers’ summer league games but has been in constant communication with the players and even the new head coach John Beilein.
Cedi Osman and Matthew Dellavedova will not participate in the camp as they are still competing in the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup. The rest of the team, however, is expected to be with Love in New York, including new guys Darius Garland, Kevin Porter Jr., and Dylan Windler.
Love is hoping to bounce back from the 2018-2019 injury-plagued season that saw him averaging 17.0 points and 10.9 rebounds in just 22 games. He shot 38.5 percent from the field and 36.1 percent from 3-point range.
Love and the Cavaliers won the NBA championship in 2016 against the Golden State Warriors. The team, however, is still in the middle of a rebuild following James’ departure.
