Veteran Nenê to re-sign with the Rockets

The 17 years NBA veteran Nenê has reportedly agreed to play again with the Houston Rockets after becoming an unrestricted free agent last June, reports according to Kelly Iko of The Athletics.

The Brazilian big man played the last three seasons with the Rockets before opting to out on the final season of his contract.

He will be the back-up center of Clint Capela in the upcoming season with the Rockets bringing new players in the likes of Russel Westbrook and Tyson Chandler.

Nene, 36, was the first Brazilian to be drafted in the first round back in 2002. He played with the Denver Nuggets until 2012 before going to the Washington Wizards until 2016. He ended up with the Rockets in 2016.

His career average is at 11.3 points with 6 rebounds but he tallied his lowest career outputs last season in 42 games with only of 3.6 points and 2.9 rebounds last season in 42 games.
