Arwind Santos wants San Miguel to break Finals trend in Game 5

San Miguel Beermen forward Arwind Santos wants his team to get a win in Game 5 to move closer to the 2019 Philippine Basketball Association Commissioner’s Cup crown and move the trend in the ongoing Finals.
Through four games, the two have gone back and forth, with the TNT KaTropa taking Game 1 and 3 and the Beermen winning in Game 2 and 4.
“Yung sinabi ko nung last time, dapat kami yung panalo kami, talo, panala… baliktad e. Kailangan mabaligtad namin yung scenario. Kailangan itong Game 5, makuha namin,” Santos said after San Miguel won Game 4 on Sunday.
“Kung may malaking lead, wag na namin pakawalan, dere-deretso na,” Santos added. The Beermen’s ability should play a big part in the game should they take an early lead later tonight at 7 pm.
In Game 3, San Miguel held a 15-point lead early in the fourth quarter. TNT, however, powered their way back to come to within two points, 96-98, with 40 seconds left in the game. Lucky for them, June Mar Fajardo, Alex Cabagnot, and Chris Ross stepped up to the plate and scored crucial points for their team.
Santos knows that they can’t allow that to happen in Game 5 should they take an early lead.
“Nandodon pa din yung sobrang respeto namin sa Talk ‘N Text kasi sobrang malakas din talaga, hindi rin sila madaling talunin. Kumpleto yung piyesa nila, ang ganda rin ng game plan nila. Kailangan tapatan namin yon,” the former Far Eastern University Tamaraw said.
