Jayson Castro focus on winning the title despite honored to win fifth BPC award

Jayson Castro was all but thankful after the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) handed him his fifth Best Player of the Conference Award, however, the ever-humble guard wants to focus more on their ultimate goal, winning the championship and to reclaim the Talk 'N Text KaTropa's lost glory.
Sobrang maraming maraming salamat, na-appreciate ko," said the 33 years old cager from Bacolor, Pampanga.
"Syempre masaya ako pero ang number one goal namin makuha yung championship kasi matagal na kaming hindi nagchachampion," he added as they bowed on game 4 of the Finals to the San Miguel Beermen, tying the series at 2-2.
TNT last won a PBA title was way back 2015 at the same conference, Commissioner's Cup, with Ranidel De Ocampo and Jimmy Alapag still wearing a KaTropa uniform.
Moving forward, Castro knew it would be their defense that will bring the elusive title back on their side.
We need to focus sa defense talaga. Especially sa mga pick and roll nila."
Game five of their best-of-seven series will be on Wednesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
