Cabagnot hopes his performance not the barometer for SMB

San Miguel beer guard Alex Cabagnot was hoping that his performance in the Finals was not the barometer for the Beermen.
In the two victories of SMB, the veteran guard performed well and shot the lights out for them finishing with 19 points in their double-overtime win in Game Two and 25 points in their 106-101 triumph in Game Four.
"I hope not, it's a team effort everybody has to pull their weight first and foremost, and it's shouldn't be determined by one player's plus-minus or activity on the court, I don't want to think about it like that pero tulung-tulong lang," said Cabagnot who was instrumental for the Beermen in the first frame unloading 13 points.
He also directed the pivotal 12-0 run in the third frame that enabled them to create separation which they never relinquished up until the final buzzer.
"We didn't do anything special today. We're just tied 2-2, level headed humble and get ready for Game Five on Wednesday," he added.
With the series now boiled down to a virtual Best-of-Three, Cabagnot can't really tell who have the edge in the Finals series.
"I can't tell. Two great franchises, two great teams are battling it out and ganun talaga, ganun naman talaga ang series. We're just trying to extend to stay alive," said Cabagnot who also added that they still have to go back to drawing board and prepare for the crucial Game Five.
"Hopefully sa dulo it's God's will that we'll win but at this moment you try to keep your head down, go back to the drawing board, try to manifest some schemes, try to alleviate some of their scoring prowess hopefully it works. Not guaranteed that it's gonna work pero we have two days to prepare to educate ourselves in certain vantage points that they attack from and we try to do it as a team," the Crunchman explained.
