The unbeaten San Juan Knights will be playing back-to-back home games as they look to get win number nine against the visiting Nueva Ecija MiGuard in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Lakan Cup at the FilOil Flying V Centre.

San Juan registered their eight-game winning streak the last timeout after demolishing the Quezon City Capitals. The veterans, John Wilson, Larry Rodriguez, and Macmac Cardona took charge for the defending champion.

Meanwhile, Nueva Ecija played the second game, on the same day, ending their five-game losing streak over the Muntinlupa Cagers. Jerwin Gaco and Marlon Monte joined forces to give the morale-boosting win.

The stage for the two squads is set at 8:30 pm.

The second game will be a duel between two deep-line up teams as the Davao Occidental Tigers will square off the Bataan Risers.

Davao is currently riding a five-game winning streak while Bataan came off from grit and grind win over the Imus-Khaleb Shawarma.

Both squads are favored to qualify in the playoffs in the early prediction.

Davao who went short for the title last Datu Cup is led by Mark Yee and Billy Rey Robles while Bataan added depth on their lineup, namely Alvin Pasaol and Santi Santillan.

In the first game, it will be the General Santos Warriors facing up against the Navotas Uni-Pak Sardines scheduled at 4:00 pm. GenSan has won four straight for a 6-2 win-loss record while Navotas is at 2-3
