Ato Ular happy he's now able to show what he can do for Letran

In a classic game that went into overtime, the Colegio de San Juan de Letran Knights leaned on an unlikely hero in Ato Ular.
The relatively unknown 6-foot-4 forward put up 13 rebounds and 19 points, including big shots down the stretch to lead Letran to an 80-78 win over the University of Perpetual Help Altas.
It was sort of a statement game from Ular, who was a rookie for the Knights back in season 92, but was relegated to the school’s Team B for seasons 93 and 94.
For Ular, he is happy that he is now able to showcase what he can do in the hardcourt.
“Masaya kasi napapatunayan ko ang sarili ko. Yung kasing unang taon ko parang wala lang ako, ngayon napapatunayan ko sarili ko,” said Ular, who was originally recruited by former Letran head coach Aldin Ayo.
Ular said he never lost faith back in the time when he was stripped off an opportunity to play in the oldest collegiate league in the country.
Ular said that he is feeling no pressure at all now that he is getting a golden opportunity and trust from Letran head coach Tan.
