DeMarcus Cousins joins LeBron James, Anthony Davis at Lakers

DeMarcus Cousins has signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday (Philippine time), putting him in the same team as LeBron James and Anthony Davis for the next National Basketball Association season.
Cousins' agent, Jeff Schwartz, told ESPN.com's Adrian Wojnarowski the deal is for more than the veteran minimum at $3.5 million.
"The Miami Heat had interest in Cousins, but several Lakers players -- including his former New Orleans Pelicans teammate Anthony Davis -- helped convince him to join the Lakers," Wojnarowski reported.
This marks the second time that Cousins and Davis will be on the same team. They earlier teamed up at New Orleans in the 2017-2018 season before the former Sacramento King ruptured his Achilles heel.
The Lakers also signed former New Orleans guard Rajon Rondo on a two-year deal, also on Sunday (Philippine time). Rondo’s contract will reportedly be worth $2.6 million in the first year with a player-option for the second.
Rondo played in New Orleans with Davis and Cousins. He spent last season with Los Angeles.
