Free agent Danny Green is headed to Los Angeles as he agreed to sign a two-year, $30 million contract with the Lakers, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on Saturday (Philippine time).

Green confirmed the report in his Inside the Green Room podcast.

“I would just like to announce and let everyone know that I'm excited for the next two years that I will be teaming up with my new teammates in LA - the Los Angeles Lakers,” the two-time NBA champion said.

Green (32) is set to bring his defensive process and of course his efficient three-point shooting to the Lakers as he is a career 40.4 percent shooter from beyond the arc. He also shot a career-best 45.5 percent from deep last season with the Toronto Raptors.

The 10-year veteran guard also put up 10.3 points on 46.5 percent shooting from the field, on top of 4.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists in the Raptors’ title run.
