Kawhi Leonard is going to Los Angeles not to join LeBron James and Anthony Davis but to be the pillar of the Clippers next season, according to multiple reports.

Arguably the biggest free agent this time of the year, Leonard led the Toronto Raptors to the NBA championship, winning his second Finals Most Valuable Player award in 2018-2019 NBA season. Kawhi also won the Finals MVP plum as part of the Tim Duncan-led champion team Spurs back in the 2013-2014 season.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN said that Leonard and the Clippers have agreed to a four-year $142 million deal.

The Lakers was among the teams rumored to be wooing the 28-year-old forward. A combination of Leonard, James, and Davis could have been one of the scariest to face for any teams.

Meanwhile, reports also say that Paul George is also joining the Clippers. The Oklahoma City Thunder is rumored to be trading George to the Clips for a “record-setting number of free agents and players”.

George was among the MVP candidates last season as he was playing alongside Russel Westbrook.
