Gilas Pilipinas head coach Yeng Guiao is looking forward to seeing his national squad take on a strong Mighty Sports team, but the veteran tactician bared that he is not expecting anything from his wards in their tune up game on Monday.

"Well it's a good test, but sabi ko nga nung practice I'm not expecting too much beacuse we've just been walking through our sets. Our problem is the players [are] not yet focus on the job with Gilas. They're still focused on their mother teams, so that's really a big obstacle for now," said Guiao on Friday after the NLEX-SMB game.

Nonethless, Guiao still wants to see how his wards fare against as strong team like the Mighty sports, saying: "I still want to see them play in a hard game and a tough game against stronger team."

Gilas Pilipinas will be facing a tough Mighty Sports squad bannered by five imports led by Renaldo Balkman and Eugene Phelps. They are joined by Hamady N'Diaye, Zach Graham, and Mckenzie Moore.

Mighty Sports, who are also preparing for the Jones Cup later this month, will also have local standouts in MPBL MVP Gab Banal, Jason Brickman, Mickey Williams, Roosevelt Adams, and Aaron Black.

"Wala ako masyado ine-expect kasi nga unang una yung mga practices namin are just really waltkthroughs of our patterns. And we have to start in the beginning everytime we practice kasi may darating na bago, merong may aabsent," explained Guiao.

"Kumbaga we have to learn read and write everytime so hindi kami makaadvance masyado dun sa aming mga sessions but nonetheless majority of this team having played in the last window. We'll try to draw from that experience," said Guiao.

Guiao's Gilas line up will feature his entire pool led by June Mar Fajardo, Gabe Norwood, Marcio Lassiter, Paul Lee, Mark Barocca, Japeth Aguilar, Poi Erram, Raymond Almazan, RR Pogoy, and Troy Rosario. Completing the pool are Robert Bolick, Kiefer Ravena, CJ Perez, and Matthew Wright.
