Coach Cholo Villanueva believes Mark Cruz can bring a lot of good to Makati

Makati Super Crunch head coach Cholo Villanueva believes that new acquisition Mark Cruz can bring a lot of things that the team lacked in the last season of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League.
On Tuesday, Cruz debuted for the Super Crunch, tallying six points, nine rebounds, one steal, and one block with a +/- of 13. The former Jose Rizal University Heavy Bomber had his fingerprints on the team's 73-51 win, and Villanueva believes that the big man will play a big role for the squad the rest of the season.
"Mark Cruz, he's my former player also in JRU. And I know what he can bring. He can bring defensive presence inside. He can bring rebounding," Villanueva said after the game.
"Mark Cruz, he doesn't have to score points, his defensive presence and rebounding is very big for us," he added.
Cruz came from the Manila Stars. He and the rest of the team will aim for their second win of the Lakan Cup against the Bacolod Masters on June 28.
