Joseph Sedurifa led the charge as the Makati Super Crunch blew past the Rizal Golden Coolers, 73-51, on Tuesday in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Lakan Cup at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

Sedurifa dropped eight points in the first half to lead the Super Crunch to a 33-23 advantage at the half. He then dropped another seven points to finish with 15 as Makati strangled Golden Coolers on defense while exhibiting efficiency on offense.

Makati led 56-36 at the end of the third and 73-51 at the end of the game.

Makati also got 14 points from John Rey Villanueva and 10 points from Jeckster Apinan.

Mark Benitez led the home team with 13 points.

"It's a good start, but we're still working on yung chemistry namin kasi we have a lot of new guys. They're still finding out what they can do within the system," said Makati head coach Cholo Villanueva after the game.

Villanueva also said that the team will continue to rely on their system without depending on any particular guy to produce buckets.

"Actually same thing pa din this year. We don't have a go-to-guy, pero we're a wiser team from last year. The mistakes that we made during the playoffs, I think we're a better team because of that," he added.
