Ateneo sorely missed Isaac Go in D-League Finals Game Two, says Adrian Wong

Adrian Wong admitted that the Cignal-Ateneo Blue Eagles sorely missed the services of Isaac Go in Game Two of the PBA D-League Finals on Tuesday at the Ynares Sports Arena.
Go, who was in a casual attire in Game Two, did not play as he was under the weather.
According to Wong, Go’s ability to stretch the defense of the opposition with his accurate outside shooting was something that the Blue Eagles particularly missed.
“Most definitely,” Wong answered if Ateneo missed the 6-foot-8 Go in Game Two, which it lost, 77-74. “He is one of our big men who can spread the floor.”
In Game One, Go showed his outside shooting prowess as he shot 4-of-6 from deep and went on to finish the match with 17 points plus four rebounds for good measure.
He was one of the major reasons why Ateneo crushed the Centro Escolar University Scorpions in the series opener, 101-66.
Wong, however, said that should not be an excuse for the Blue Eagles’ 77-74 loss to the Scorpions in Game Two. Instead, Wong shared that they should be able to adjust to it as players missing games in a tourney due to injuries and whatnots is just a normal thing.
“We really missed his outside shooting today but it shouldn’t be an excuse,” the six-foot point guard said.
“Anytime, somebody would be sick and somebody would be hurt in the season just like what happened today. We should be able to adjust to that.”
Game Three of the Big Dance is on Thursday still at the Ynares Sports Arena.
