NorthPort Batang Pier's big three of Stanley Pringle, Sean Anthony and Mo Tautuaa remain a concern for Alaska Aces head coach Alex Compton ahead of their Wednesday clash at the Ynares Center, Antipolo.
The veteran tactician is wary specifically on the Batang Pier star, Pringle who according to him was the best guard in the country today.
"Stanley Pringle, I think most nights, he's the single best guard in the country and there are incredible guards in the Philippines. Jayson (Castro), Terrence (Romeo), Alex (Cabagnot), Marcio"(Lassiter), Paul (Lee), Mark Barroca. You go through the list and there's incredible guards," said Compton.
"But Stanley he's the best."
Pringle however also has a formidable supporting cast in fellow Philippine Cup BPC candidates in Anthony and Tautuaa.
"And Sean Anthony has an MVP-type of conference. Mo Tautuaa I think was in the running for the best player of the conference," he added.
Compton was all praises as well to Globalport head coach Pido Jarencio who he thinks has been doing a great job handling the team despite their furstrating performance in the Philippine Cup.
"Honestly, I feel so bad for Pido, he had so many game plans and just one coach watching another, he had so many game plans last conference and so many good things were they lost on this break or that break," Compton said.
"I told him when we were talking last conference Coach ang ganda ng mga game plan niyo ang ganda ng ginagawa niyo sayang lang. So it's gonna be a battle," he ended.
