Bacoor City Strikers owner Chaye Cabal-Revilla believes that the team can still get a lot of positives from the 46-year-old Philippine basketball legend Marlou Aquino.
In a short phone interview with Courtside Philippines, Revilla said that Aquino is under contract with the team for the next tournament, and he will be a vital piece for the Strikers’ cause.
“Kay Kuya Marlou, we can never take away his experience. His wisdom and knowledge of basketball is actually something that he can impart with the boys,” Revilla said.
“He has been one of the pillars of the Strikers and the young guys listen to him,” she added.
Revilla also said that Marlou is making one of his dreams come true as he is set to play alongside his son Matthew.
“Yun din pangarap daw ni Kuya Marlou, makapaglaro sila ni Matthew sa isang league together,” Revilla said.
Marlou played 28 games for Bacoor in the Datu Cup and tallied 4.18 points, 2.57 rebounds, 1.46 assists, 0.93 blocks, and 13.63 minutes per outing.
