The Philadelphia 76ers extended their Eastern Conference Semifinals campaign following a convincing 112-101 victory over the Toronto Raptors at the Wells Fargo Center on Friday (Philippine time).
The Sixers managed to live for another day as they prolong their bout against the Raptors to a do-or-die Game Seven, which will be held this coming Monday (Philippine time) at the Scotiabank Arena.
Jimmy Butler led Philadelphia with 25 points on a 50 percent shooting performance during the game. Five other players from the Sixers figured in double digit outputs headline by the duo of Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons.
Embid had a silend but deadly double-double outing of 17 markers and 12 boards while Simmons, who was on a slump in their past two outings, registered 21 points on an impressive 8-of-13 shooting from the field.
Philadelphia immediately took control of their opposition early in the contest, scoring two consecutive 29-point quarters to place themselves in a commanding 58-43 lead going into the break.
The Raptors tried fight back before the end of regulation with Kawhi Leonard trying to ignite their offensive fire but their 34-point outburst in the final canto was not enough as they concede Game Six to the Sixers.
Leonard carried Toronto on his shoulders in their disappointing loss with 29 points and 12 rebounds.
